An air conditioner comprises of three main parts, which are a compressor, evaporator and condenser. In a Split AC, the evaporator is located in the inside unit to cool the room, whereas, its outside unit contains the compressor and the condenser which releases hot air outside the room. Split air conditioners are available in various brands like Sansui, Whirlpool, LG, BlueStar, Daikin, Hitachi, IFB, Voltas, Carrier, Onida, Lloyd, Samsung and more. They even come with different specifications and capacities for offices, restaurants, movie theatres, homes and malls. Also, every AC comes with an EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio). This ratio is equal to the cooling capacity of the air conditioner to its power consumption. The higher this ratio, the more energy-efficient it is.
